App Description
The Heartbeat Now app alerts civilians to assist with CPR. This reduces the number of deaths from an acute circulatory arrest. Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone. Help within six minutes is vital. Heartbeat Now is committed to optimal civilian assistance, everywhere. As a volunteer you can save lives by participating in Heartbeat Now.

Alarm on location
Smartphones have the function of location determination. In the event of a call, the HSN system can determine where volunteers are at that moment. For example, we only call on volunteers who are in the immediate vicinity of the victim at that time, which considerably increases the chance of a timely resuscitation. For good alarms, it is important that you activate location determination. If this is not the case, HSN only alerts the volunteer by text message or telephone call based on the entered addresses.

How does the Heartbeat Now app work?
In the event of cardiac arrest, available volunteers will be notified within a radius of 2000 meters around the emergency. How many volunteers receive a call depends on the availability that the volunteers have specified. Alarmed volunteers are asked to respond to the call. This way we keep track of how many volunteers come to the emergency. If there are enough registrations, the rest will receive a cancellation not to have too many volunteers on site.
