Spurgeon (Kelvedon, June 19, 1834 - Alpes-Maritimes, 31 January 1892) was a British Baptist pastor. It is still known by people as the "Prince of Preachers". Throughout his life, Spurgeon evangelized about 10 million people and often preached 10 times a week in different places.
He read the Bible in its entirety, but felt that his writings were threatening rather than promising him something good. As he grew older these details weighed on his consciousness.
His sermons have been translated into several languages and there are now more books and writings of Spurgeon than any other Christian writer in the history of the church. Both her grandfather and her father were Puritan pastors, so she grew up in a home of Christian principles.
