آثار و برکات سوره
1)آسان شدن امور
از رسول خدا صلی الله علیه و آله وسلم نقل شده: هر کس این سوره را بنویسد و به خود همراه داشته باشد خداوند هر کار سختی را برای او آسان می کند.
2) درمان درد چشم
امام صادق علیه السلام فرمودند: اگر سوره الرحمن را بنویسند و همراه کسی که درد چشم دارد باشد، بهبود می یابد.
3) بهبود بیماری طحال، قلب و...
مرحوم کفعمی در کتاب المصباح آورده است : اگر سوره الرحمن را بنویسند و بشویند و از آب آن بیاشامند برای بیماری طحال و دردها و بیماری های قلب مفید است و اگر نوشته آن را برای درد چشم و بیماری صرع به همراه داشته باشند بهبود میبخشد.

برای تسهیل وضع حمل آیه «سنفرغ لکم ایها الثقلان فبای الاء ربکما تکذبان» را بنویسند و بر پشت حامله ببندند بعد که فارغ شد آن را باز کنند.
ثواب قراءة سورة الرحمن
عن الامام جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام أنَّهُ قال: "لَا تَدَعْ 1 قِرَاءَةَ سُورَةِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَ الْقِيَامَ بِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَقِرُّ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ، وَ يَأْتِي بِهَا رَبُّهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي صُورَةِ آدَمِيٍّ فِي أَحْسَنِ صُورَةٍ وَ أَطْيَبِ رِيحٍ حَتَّى تَقِفَ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَوْقِفاً لَا يَكُونُ أَحَدٌ أَقْرَبَ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهَا، فَيَقُولُ لَهَا: مَنِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَقُومُ بِكِ فِي الدُّنْيَا 2، فَتَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ فَتَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهُهُمْ، وَ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ: اشْفَعُوا فِيمَنْ أَحْبَبْتُمْ 3، وَ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ فَاسْكُنُوا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ، وَ إِنْ قَرَأَهَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَاراً مَاتَ شَهِيداً" .
Surah ar-Rahman (The Beneficent)
This Surah has 78 verses and it is ‘makki’. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that reciting this Surah on Friday after the dawn prayers carries great reward. Surah as-Rahman removes hypocrisy from one’s heart.
On the Day of Judgement, this Surah will come in the shape of a human being who will be handsome and will have a very nice scent. Allah (S.w.T.) will then tell him to point out those people who used to recite this Surah and he will name them. Then he will be allowed to beg pardon for those whom he names and Allah (S.w.T.) will pardon them.
The Imam (a.s.) also said that if a person dies after reciting this Surah, then is considered a martyr. Writing this Surah and keeping it makes all difficulties and problems vanish and also cures eye ailments. Writing it on the walls of a house keeps away all types of household pests. If recited at night, then Allah (S.w.T.) sends an angel to guard the reciter until he wakes up and if recited in the daytime then an angel guards him until sunset.
