Kazan map

Kazan is the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan and is an important center of trade, industry and culture, and is the most important site of Tatar culture. It is located at the confluence of the Volga with the Kazanka, in central European Russia. The city was the seat of the XXVII Universiade from 6 to 17 July 2013, and of the XVI edition of the World Swimming Championships from 24 July to 9 August 2015.

In 2017 it hosted the Confederations Cup, while in 2018 it hosted the Football World Championships.
