Surrounded by hills of medium-low altitude, with olive, almond and carob trees, this small town has a privileged geographical location due to its height and proximity to the sea.

Its main attractions are its landscapes between the channels of two small streams, and its urban center of white, narrow and steep streets that recall its Andalusian past. The name Totalán is of Arabic origin and means cake, because this town was one of the places in the province where such typical pastries were produced.
