The Internet portal Netmuseum is the regional exhibition calendar for Baden-Württemberg. It contains a complete directory of all museums in the country. The portal has been online since the year 2000 and has meanwhile developed into one of the largest of its kind.
Netmuseum is known for its timeliness and reliable information. In order to bring Netmuseum back up to date with the latest technology and to give it a contemporary appearance, the state has taken on the financing for the redesign. The relaunch was implemented in the State Office for Museum Support. The focus was on the idea of a mobile version that scores with a GPS-controlled location search: With the convenient result that current exhibitions and museums in the area can be called up on your own smartphone.

There is also basic information for visiting the exhibition such as duration, address and opening hours. You can share every exhibition hit with others.
Reach your goal with just a few clicks
The search is that easy: If you have given permission for the mobile device to process your location data, the app opens with a suitable map view. The magnifying glass in the menu bar takes you to the search form and you have a wide range of options here: You can change the radius of the search or restrict it to a specific region in the country. Searching for a specific location is done using the compass. Enter your keywords as a search term or follow the suggested topics.

Like the mobile version, the Netmuseum website contains all of the approximately 1,300 museums in Baden-Württemberg registered with the State Office for Museum Support and also offers the largest exhibition calendar on the web with over 1,000 (non-commercial) events per year.
