Protect, O provident guardian of the divine Family, the chosen people of Jesus Christ. Keep away from us, O most loving Father, the plague of error and vice. Watch us from the heights of heaven, O our mighty support, in the struggle against the power of darkness, and just as you once saved the threatened life of the Child Jesus from death, so now defend the Holy Church of God from the snares of the Enemy and from all adversity. Support each one of us with your constant patronage, so that, with your example and supported by your help, we may live virtuously, die piously, and obtain eternal bliss in heaven. Amen"
