Gender Equality in Tourism Industry Project is carried out with the financial contribution of the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye. The project is supported within the scope of the "Employment, Education and Social Policies Sectoral Operational Program" of the Instrument for PreAccession (IPA) between Türkiye and the European Union. The project is carried out under the leadership of the Kaçed Association and in partnership with TURSAB (Türkiye), Gender Studies, o.p.s. (Czechia) and Associazione Italiana Turismo Responsabile-AITR (Italy).
The duration of the project is 12 months.
The overall project objective is “Development of entrepreneurship, employment and employability with focus on gender equality”.
The specific objectives of the project are “(1) Developing digital tourism applications for tourism establishments; (2) Bringing out the tourism resource values of Kaçkar Mountains National Park and Fırtına Valley; (3) Establishing tourism dialogue mechanism among Italian, Czech and Turkish tourism stakeholder groups; (4) Improving the digital tourism skills of those employed in tourism sector; (5) Enabling women, young people and visual-hearing handicapped unemployed to have employment by providing them with vocational trainings on tourism; (6) Raising the awareness on gender equality among the public.”
