Mountain town within a beach region, it has one of the best panoramic views of the coast and the mountains of the Region from the viewpoint of the Plaza de San Gregorio, also known as “El Balcón del Levante”, where it is currently located. the monument honoring the miner.

Although it was in the 19th century when Bédar lived off mining, currently its main activities are agriculture and tourism. In fact, an effort is being made by the City Council to turn Bédar into an “eco-tourist village,” being the Tourism is the driver of the municipality's future, given the historical, landscape and environmental value it has, inviting visitors to enjoy fantastic hiking routes, as well as a cultural visit through the town centre.
