Conscription in Russia is the duty of a citizen of Russia to defend the Fatherland.
Conscription in Russia provides for:
military registration;
compulsory training for military service;
conscription;
conscription military service;
stay in stock;
the call for military training and the passage of military training during the period of stay in the reserve.
The term of conscription service in peacetime in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is 12 months. It is regulated by the legislation of Russia, in particular, the law "On conscription and military service" and amendments to it. According to V. Putin's acknowledgment, made by him in February 2012, the abolition of military service is not planned.
