ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Modernism cannot be imagined without the contribution of women artists. The exhibition tells the multifaceted story of 26 painters and sculptors who, with great independence, chose art as their profession and were successful.
Between 1880 and the 1930s they worked in Paris and Frankfurt and supported each other in international networks as teachers, collectors, patrons and actors in cultural policy. More than 75 paintings and sculptures provide an insight into the diverse art production of these important protagonists, who worked on an equal level with their fellow artists.
