This application is an open source app that is used as a compliment to the wikimedia commons website. Use it to upload images to the website and join a community of people who are helping to share information and collect images of the world around us.
The operation of Wikimedia commons is very simple: at the top of the screen, there is a search bar: enter a keyword to search for relevant images and browse through the generated results.
One of the most interesting aspects of Wikimedia commons is that its images belong to the public domain, so they can be used freely without worry of copyright infringement.
One of the drawbacks of this application is that it is much more limited than the main website, and it doesn't give you access to all the information that can be found on its parent website. As it is not an official application, the app is not regulated by wikimedia commons and as such it can't always be relied upon fully. Despite that, it has a wealth of information that can be easily accessed and the opensource app is being updated regularly.
