Aljunobya - Southern Governora

The governorate is a local department with a legal personality and shall include the internal areas within its borders according to the tables and maps. The establishment or cancellation of the governorate shall be by decree and the centers of the governorate shall be determined and the boundaries thereof shall be amended by a decision of the Prime Minister and shall be added to budget of Ministry of Interior. The financial resources of the governorate consist of the financial allocations to which the State budget is allocated as well as gifts and donations accepted by the governor on the direction of the coordinating committee of the governorate and in accordance with the conditions and rules decided by the Council of Ministers.

The governorate shall have a governor who shall manage its affairs and shall be assisted by a deputy, an administrative body and a coordinating committee to be formed and determine its competencies in accordance with the provisions established in the governorates Law.

In the absence of the governor or his job, his deputy acts on his behalf. The governor is considered the representative of the executive authority within his governorate. He is responsible for supervising the implementation of the general policy of the Kingdom and following up the development plan projects within the governorate.
