The New Communicate in English (CIE) App comprises various assets to make learning a joyful experience. It focuses on and aims at honing the basic language skills of the user. There are 4–5 assets in each chapter- animation, exercises, spell-o-fun, pronunciation and slideshow.
Exercises include questions based on the grammar and vocabulary concepts taught in a particular chapter as well as the comprehension questions.
The animations make learning more interactive and enjoyable. The user can watch the animations to grasp a better understanding of the chapter. The animations also cater to the imaginative faculties of the user. The characters are lifelike and that makes the entire experience more enjoyable.
Slideshows provide additional information on themes related to the chapters. They are attractive and give useful information to the user. The slideshows cover a wide range of topics and are therefore extremely helpful.
Pronunciation helps the user learn and practise the pronunciation of various difficult words in a chapter. It enables the user to record and listen to their pronunciation of the words. They can also compare their recorded audio with the pre-recorded pronunciation.
Spell-o-fun helps enrich the vocabulary and spelling of the user. The user is supposed to decipher the word based on the meaning given along with the audio of the word. There are three levels of difficulty, level one being the easiest.
There are three sets of conversation practice in the New CIE App. Each set consists of a pre-recorded conversation, questions based on the same and additional questions to help the user practise similar conversations.
